Podcast Ep.25: Leaving A Godly Legacy! (John and Janine Schultz)

Oh, the great stuff we can gain from the previous generations. But how will we ever do that unless we pause long enough and listen to their stories.  When is the last time you sat down with an elderly saint in your church, or even sat down with your parents or grandparents and listened to their stories and the experiences that shaped them?

We can learn so much from them and especially see how God shaped their faith during some of the hardest experiences of life. I had the honor recently to sit down and interview my parents, John and Janine Schultz mainly talking to them about their experience of growing up in Europe doing WW2. I will never forget my mom’s comment during the interview where she really summed up their experiences. Good things came out of bad things.

Since their retirement my parents, John and Jannine Schultz reside in Toccoa, GA. Prior to this they served for 38 years as missionaries in Papua, Indonesia. They have 16 Grandchildren, and 15 Great grandchildren. They love to read, study and spend time with family. Be sure to listen to the very end of the podcast for a surprise from John Schultz. Enjoy!

  1. I have been blessed ‘beyond words’ just listening to this!!! Feel overwhelmed, just knowing we were in the same country – – never having heard this story – – but knowing you were both from different countries!!! I can’t say “Thank you” enough, Mitch – – John & Janine – – my heart is ‘warmed beyond measure’!!! 🙂 Praising God for just allowing our paths to have crossed!!! Much love to you all!!! Ruth Pontier
